Download Your Destination Before You Go

Imagine you're wandering around a beautiful city, looking for a restaurant or trying to find your way back to your hotel.

You pull out your phone...

No service.

Or your international data isn't working.

Or you're somewhere with spotty Wi-Fi.

That's why one of the simplest things you can do before an international trip is download an offline map of your destination.

Google Maps allows you to download maps for many destinations so you can still use the map even when you don't have an internet connection.

Here's the trick:

Before you leave home, open Google Maps and search for the city or area you're visiting.

Select the area and choose the option to download the map for offline use.

Then, while you're still connected to Wi-Fi, make sure the map has downloaded successfully.

You can then use the downloaded map when you're out exploring—even if your phone loses its connection.

And here's an even better idea...

Don't just download the map.

Save the important places you'll need.

📍 Your hotel📍 The airport📍 Your cruise port📍 Restaurants you've reserved📍 Your rental-car location📍 Major attractions📍 The train station or transportation hub

That way you're not standing on a street corner in a foreign country thinking:

“Now where the heck am I?”

Bimini Travel Concierge Tip

Do this before you leave home—not after you arrive.

Downloading your map while you're sitting in your hotel room after your phone has already lost service isn't going to help much.

A few minutes of preparation before your trip can save you a whole lot of frustration once you're there.

Travel tip: Save it before you go. You'll be glad you did.
